DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) Policy Effective Date: April 24, 2026 Last Updated: April 24, 2026

Website: https://synapselink.site

1. Introduction

SynapseLink ("we," "our," or "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users and third parties associated with our platform to do the same. We are committed to complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws.

This DMCA Policy outlines the procedure for notifying SynapseLink of alleged copyright infringement on our website at https://synapselink.site, and the steps we will take in response to valid notices.

If you believe that any content available on SynapseLink — including but not limited to HTML5 games, images, graphics, text, audio, or video — infringes upon your copyright, please follow the process described below.

2. Our Role as a Platform

SynapseLink operates as an online platform and game library that hosts and/or links to HTML5 games created by third-party developers and publishers. We do not create, own, or claim rights over the vast majority of games and game-related content featured on our website.

We take copyright infringement seriously. Upon receiving a valid and complete DMCA takedown notice, we will act promptly to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content, in accordance with the DMCA safe harbor provisions under 17 U.S.C. § 512.

3. Reporting Copyright Infringement — DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent acting on behalf of a copyright owner, and you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied, hosted, or made accessible on SynapseLink in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a formal DMCA takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent.

Your DMCA takedown notice must include ALL of the following elements as required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):

a) Identification of the Copyrighted Work A clear description or identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notice, you may provide a representative list of such works.

b) Identification of the Infringing Material Sufficient information to allow us to locate the allegedly infringing content on our website. This should include:

  • The exact URL(s) where the infringing content can be found on https://synapselink.site
  • A description of where the material appears on the page (e.g., game title, section name, or thumbnail image)

c) Your Contact Information Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so that we may contact you regarding your notice.

d) Statement of Good Faith A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

e) Statement of Accuracy and Authority A statement made under penalty of perjury that:

  • The information in your notice is accurate, and
  • You are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

f) Physical or Electronic Signature A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

4. Where to Submit Your DMCA Notice

Please send your completed DMCA takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent via:

Email (Preferred): dmca@synapselink.site

Mailing Address: SynapseLink — DMCA Agent https://synapselink.site [Your physical address if you wish to include one]

Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Notice — [Name of Copyrighted Work]

We strongly recommend submitting your notice via email for the fastest possible response. Incomplete notices may cause delays in processing.

5. What Happens After We Receive Your Notice

Upon receipt of a valid and complete DMCA takedown notice, SynapseLink will:

  1. Acknowledge receipt of your notice within a reasonable timeframe (typically 2–5 business days)
  2. Review the notice to verify that it meets all statutory requirements
  3. Act promptly to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content if the notice is valid
  4. Notify the user or party who submitted or uploaded the content (if applicable) that the content has been removed due to a DMCA complaint
  5. Document the takedown for our internal records and compliance purposes

Please note that SynapseLink reserves the right to:

  • Request additional information to verify your identity or the validity of your claim
  • Decline to act on notices that are incomplete, inaccurate, or submitted in bad faith
  • Restore content if a valid counter-notification is received

6. DMCA Counter-Notification

If you believe that content you submitted or that is associated with you was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you have the right to submit a DMCA Counter-Notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).

Your counter-notification must include ALL of the following:

a) Identification of Removed Content A description of the content that was removed and the URL(s) where it appeared on SynapseLink before it was removed.

b) Statement Under Penalty of Perjury A statement made under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.

c) Your Consent to Jurisdiction A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which SynapseLink may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice.

d) Your Contact Information Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

e) Physical or Electronic Signature Your physical or electronic signature.

Where to Submit Your Counter-Notification:

Email: dmca@synapselink.site Subject Line: DMCA Counter-Notification — [Name of Content]

What Happens After We Receive Your Counter-Notification:

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, SynapseLink will:

  1. Forward a copy of the counter-notification to the original complainant
  2. Inform the complainant that we will restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a legal action seeking a court order to prevent the allegedly infringing activity
  3. Restore the removed content within the stated timeframe if no court order is received

7. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and our commitment to protecting intellectual property rights, SynapseLink maintains a repeat infringer policy.

We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, terminate access to or remove content associated with users or parties who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Users who submit games or content that repeatedly receive valid DMCA takedown notices
  • Parties who repeatedly and knowingly misrepresent infringing content as their own

This policy is in place to maintain compliance with DMCA safe harbor protections under 17 U.S.C. § 512.

8. Misuse of DMCA Notices — Warning Against Abuse

Please be aware that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that content is infringing, or that content was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be held liable for damages — including costs and attorneys' fees — incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner, or SynapseLink.

Submitting false, fraudulent, or bad-faith DMCA notices is a serious legal matter. SynapseLink reserves the right to pursue legal remedies against any party who abuses the DMCA notice-and-takedown process.

9. Intellectual Property Rights — General

Beyond the DMCA process, SynapseLink is committed to respecting intellectual property rights in all areas of our platform. If you have an intellectual property concern that falls outside the scope of copyright — such as trademark infringement — please contact us at legal@synapselink.site and we will review your concern.

10. Limitation of Liability

SynapseLink's compliance with DMCA takedown procedures does not constitute an admission of liability or wrongdoing. Acting in good faith upon receipt of a DMCA notice does not imply that SynapseLink acknowledges or agrees that the reported content is infringing.

SynapseLink shall not be held liable for any damages resulting from the removal of content pursuant to a valid or invalid DMCA takedown notice, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

SynapseLink reserves the right to update or modify this DMCA Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
